Thing 5

ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more
Ok, this is way too fun. I have sent messages to my friends on Facebook with this! I have insulted my workers too. Is there no end to the mischief you can do with this! I love this so much I am saving it to my favorites. The hardest part was figuring out which part to post. But luckily I have posted html with MySpace and the earlier exercise so it was a breeze! I will do some more tomorrow! I will see ya'll later!

I like this one the best. It fits me in my arty-fartsy way. I love beads, I make hemp jewelry and other type of stuff like that i am an avid drawer and i used to paint and use dry pastels. I love charcoal too. Well, Flickr is cool for finding letters to spell out you name in a ransome note kind of way. LOL!!!

Thing 3 Flikr

Well I'm back. i just uploaded some stuff in Flickr. I had an account already as I have a yahoo account. I used to have an account with tons of photos but when YahooPhoto changed to Flickr I didn't keep up with it or convert over to flickr. Well, its good I didn't convert those photos I had, they were inappropriate...Tehehehe! But they are gone now. I have added a few cool ones I had on hand. One is a picture of me when I was 4 yrs old. One is a cool optical effect from a burning tree in a California wildfire. It is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30406049@N04/3632499865/
I found Flickr super easy to use since it is like most things where you download photos. Now onto #4. Later....

Web and Library 2.0

Well, I read the 2 articles on both Web and Library 2.0. I must say they were really long winded but very informative. I like this new move to an more interactive and electronic world. I know some of my co-workers who would cringe and spit if you ever mentioned Google, particularly the Reference librarian who dislikes big changes. But she too is now involved and sees that the web is here to stay. Even if it means less questions asked by real people in person. I personally have dealt heavily with this new wave of research and netsearch. I know for sure whenever the computers are down and we don't have access to the internet people are wondering outside their offices as if the world is ending like a bunch of slack-jawed zombies! How can we operate with out our list-servs and facebook. Someone might miss something!
I became an avid texter about 5 years ago. It is how i connect with the 9-12 students who work for me in circulation. I send one text to all at once. It makes it so simple. I personally like texting because you say what you need without having to have a full conversation. No dead space or lulls. But I digress. The information superhighway is here now and people want answers now, not 5 minutes from now. Our library has been good about keeping our electronic access at least within operating capabilities. :-) I joke, not really. So i have more to say on the matter but I have to go. I shall return, fear not.
